Take & Make Kits

Take & Make Kits

Sadly, Craft Club cannot meet in person at this time. But we aren't going to let that stop us from crafting and making cool STEM projects.

Every month we will be handing out Take & Make Kits, so that we can all enjoy Craft Club at home. We will post the instructions for past and current Kits below.

The Kits are available to anyone while supplies last. You can find them in the Kid's Room.  Contact Brynn@corraleslibrary.org to see what kits are available.

Slime Kits

Make Your Own Slime:

  • .25 cup of water
  • .25 cup of white craft glue
  • .25 cup of liquid starch
  • food coloring
  • mixing bowl
  • mixing spoon

Mix everything together really well. Enjoy your slime. (Slime lasts longer if you store it in an air-tight container when not using it)

How it works: The glue is a liquid polymer. This means that the tiny molecules in the glue are in strands like a chain. When you add the liquid starch, the strands of the polymer glue hold together, giving it its slimy feel. The starch acts as a cross-linker that links all the plymer strands together.
