Book Donations
We so appreciate and NEED your donations! To make certain they get to us, PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE DONATED ITEMS OUTSIDE THE LIBRARY. Instead, please wait until the library is open and bring them inside. If you have a donation of more than several boxes, or would just like help transporting your donation, please contact Pete Jones (FOCL Treasurer) at pfjones@centurylink.net to arrange a drop off/pick up time. Thank you for your help in this matter, and we so value your generosity.
| FOCL wants your gently used books! (Please, no damaged books or paperbacks with browned pages.) We also accept DVDs, CDs, LPs, sheet music, and educational children's games and teaching materials. Unfortunately, we cannot accept magazines, dictionaries, encyclopedias, textbooks, or travel guides and tech instruction books that are more than 5 years old. FOCL sorts your donations and adds materials that are needed to the library's collection. Items that are out of date, soiled, damaged, or have extensive handwriting are given to the public on the "free cart" outside the main entrance. The majority of the donations we receive are saved for the library's semi-annual book sale which funds the library's programs and events, DVD collection and other essential services.
