Welcome to The Friends of the Corrales LibraryThe Friends of the Corrales Library is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization made up of lovers and supporters of the Corrales Community Library. Since 1955, the Friends have been dedicated to enhancing the library's unique environment, collections and programs for the benefit of the entire community. Whether you connect by becoming a member, by donating, or by volunteering at a FOCL event, we welcome you! |
When you give, the entire community benefits. FOCL funds 100% of the library's programs and DVD acquisitions. So, if you have enjoyed a summer evening performance in the park, learned a new craft with Sandra, or checked out the latest Academy Award winner, you are seeing your donation dollars at work. FOCL also funds the library's New York Times subscription, pays for new furnishings and equipment as the need arises, and covers unforeseen emergency expenses. When you invest in your library, you are investing in the future of your community. Thank you!!
Selling donated used books at our twice yearly book sales is FOCL's main source of income. Books sold from the library atrium also go into our coffers. FOCL so appreciates your patronage. Thanks to a gift from the late Fred Emerson, we are also currently working on building a small used book store in La Entrada Park to serve the community and augment our income. Watch this space!
